Under the Phoenix Sun...

Four days in the desert sunshine of Phoenix, Arizona at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort! It was a warm dry 84 to 86 degrees each day...absolutely zero humidity! I actually got some sunshine on my pale skin for the first time in years! The resort had several swimming pools and a "lazy river"...we tubed the river each day enjoying the wet coolness of the water and the beautifully landscaped gardens on each side.

Johnny and Jessica Greenfield were married during a lovely garden ceremony at the Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix. It was at 4:00 p.m. and the weather was ideal...shady yet still warm. Jessica looked like she came off the cover of Brides' Magazine. She was stunning. She forfeited her former Cancun "beachfront" bridal dress for an unbelievable gown and cathedral length veil. The bridesmaids and groomsmen still wore their Cancun wedding garments (white linen pants and blue shirts for the guys; white gauze strapless dresses with blue pashmina shawls for the girls) with bare feet! The lawn aisle was strewn with pink and white rose petals; the wedding party carried/wore the same roses.

There was a formal dinner afterwards...amazing food, lots of drinks (alcoholic and non) and beautifully set tables with crystal, candles, roses, and more! The wedding cake was decorated with shells (retaining the beachfront motif that Cancun was to offer). The napkin rings were made out of shells...so very pretty! The theme was so prevalent throughout all the planning and preparation.

The bride and groom left for a week's honeymoon in Maui. We will see them in a couple of weeks when we visit California over the Thanksgiving holidays.

Sunday will find me preparing for my Northwest business trip to Portland and Seattle. John will meet me in Seattle for my birthday on the 17th. On the 20th we will travel to San Francisco and see Johnny and Jessica. Then we'll drive to Santa Rosa for Thanksgiving. We come home the Friday after Thanksgiving Thursday.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comments! I so enjoy reading them!
